A very pretty vintage English gold necklace from the 1940s with eleven amethyst drops on a yellow gold chain.
Retailed by: T Reed & Sons, Cambridge, United Kingdom as printed in gold on the inside of the lid.

Amethysts: Beautiful mid-purple oval cut stones which are flush in their setting. They vary in size from 4.5 x 2.2 mm to 8 x 4.4 mm.

The central drop measures 15.5 mm.

Length: 41 cm (16 inches),

Hallmarked 9CT for 9-carat gold.

Weight: 6.1 grams

Beautifully presented in its original heart-shaped fitted leather box which is lined with velvet and silk.
